Canada’s insights and analytics certification body celebrates the newest CAIPs who have earned their designation over the last year by successfully challenging the comprehensive, seven-hour CAIP exam. The first annual Awards Gala took place on June 5 as part of the Canadian Research Insights Council H*Factor Conference programming.

They join the approximately 400 professionals who proudly carry the CAIP designation.

The CAIPs who have joined in the last year come from varied backgrounds and are employed by companies that prioritize quality research insights. They are part of teams ranging from large firms to niche boutiques, with representatives from places like Campaign Research, Narrative, CRG, Quorus Consulting, BenchStrength Consulting, Dig Insights, King and Partners, and Crestview Strategy. Moreover, they are positioned in diverse sectors including the Prime Minister’s Office, retail with Cadillac Fairview, cannabis with Organigram, automotive services with CAA, food production with Dare Foods, and finance with TD Bank.

“Congratulations to our newest CAIPs,” said Robert Wong, CAIP, FCRIC, Chair of CAIP Canada. “We are pleased to welcome the range and depth of the new CAIPs in both the client and supplier side of our industry. They have demonstrated the competencies to succeed in the world of data.”

By pursuing rigorous professional education, obtaining relevant professional experience and passing the exam, the new CAIPs have demonstrated that they have the superior skills and knowledge required to be a Certified Analytics and Insights Professional.  By supporting their efforts, government and business demonstrate their commitment to quality research insights.

About the Exam

The CAIP exam is a 7-hour, comprehensive test of knowledge and skills with two parts: a short answer component and a case study.  Candidates must score a minimum of 70% on each part.  Analytics and Insights professionals are invited to write the CAIP exam twice per year.  The next sitting is Monday, October 7, 2024; the deadline to register is August 21, 2024. Candidates can also take a hybrid self-study and live preparatory seminar to ensure they have the requisite knowledge prior to the comprehensive test. CAIP is endorsed by the Canadian Research Insights Council and ESOMAR. Candidates can choose from different pathways to earn their CAIP designation. There are currently approximately 350 CAIPs in the industry.
